Meet Thomas

With a passion for both people and legal precision, Thomas has specialised in insolvency law – an area that offers room for both legal complexity and practical problem-solving.

Thomas had no doubts when he was first introduced to the world of law.

“I had business law in my final year of high school, and I found it incredibly exciting. That was when I was certain that I wanted to study law.”

Thomas holds a Master of Laws from Aarhus University. He began working with insolvency law early in his career and was quickly drawn to the complexity and interdisciplinary nature of the field.

“I find it really exciting. The tasks are varied, and I get to work across many different legal disciplines because insolvency involves every part of a business,” Thomas says.

It is particularly the combination of legal work, practical challenges, and human interaction that appeals to him:

“One of the things that motivates me most in my legal work is being able to make a difference for others even in a difficult situation like bankruptcy. You are in contact with many stakeholders – from employees and partners to the handling of assets. That also gives me the opportunity to work alongside others who are highly skilled in what they do.”

Today, Thomas works as an assistant attorney in the Insolvency team at LES.

“When I saw the job posting, I applied, and already during the interview I could tell that it was a really good match,” he says.

A strong professional environment and a sense of community were important to Thomas and that is exactly what he found at LES.

“I felt truly welcomed from day one. There was a clear onboarding plan, I had breakfast with my team, and colleagues showed me around. It gave me a very reassuring start.”

He also highlights events like Corporate Camp and the strong social atmosphere among colleagues as something special:

“I think it is great that LES puts effort into the social aspects, both through events specifically for assistant attorneys and those for the whole firm, such as Corporate Camp, which focuses on building relationships and collaboration across departments,” he explains.

“I like that social initiatives are about more than just raising a glass – they are also about making us stronger as colleagues. And then we can celebrate properly afterwards,” he says with a smile.
