As part of the financial relief initiatives, presented by the Danish Government Friday 13 March and over the weekend, the Government has agreed on a revision of the so-called scheme on division of labour, enabling Danish companies to initiate an agreement with the employees on division of labour immediately after the agreement has been submitted to the Jobcenter.

On 15 March 2020, the Danish Government together with the labour market parties (unions and employer associations) have agreed on a fixed-term compensation scheme to companies that suffer from lack of work due to COVID-19 and as a result may be facing mass redundancies within the nearest future.

On 13 August 2029, the Consumer Ombudsman reported four Danish “influencers” to the police for violating the prohibition against hidden advertising on social media laid down in the Danish Marketing Practices Act. The police reports show that the Consumer Ombudsman is focused on ensuring compliance with the rules on advertising and marketing on social media, regardless which kind of marketing it is.
